Mayberry Melonpool is the television-addicted, somewhat clumsy, not-all-that-intelligent Captain of the "Steel Duck." Oh yeah, and he's obsessed with getting a date. In short, he doesn't have a lot going for him.
Ralph Zinobop is the inventor of the "Steel Duck." He is eager to enter the next phase of his plan: to make money off his inventions to regain his rightful place as ruler of the Planet Zinobop — a planet that he was exiled from by his paranoid father several years ago. His other hobbies include wild get-get-rich schemes and drinking copious amounts of coffee. He also has a terrible temper.
Man i still cant believe we lost so many this year. I know people die everyday and r.i.p to them but we dont normaly hear so many celebs die in one year. R.i.p . on a brighter note steve troop uploaded yay!
And I was only able to squeeze in about 1/3 of them in this comic. At some point, I just decided to put in the ones I thought Mayberry would be affected by. I wish I could have aded Willam Schallert, Kenny Baker and a few others. Prince and Bowie almost didn’t make the cut, because just about everyone else is TV and Film-related, but I felt like they were so influential that they HAD to be on there.
I’m going to start posting my latest 24 hour comic starting this upcoming Monday-Friday one page a day through January and will be coming back as a daily in February — there is one AMAZING thing which may derail the regular updates, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it. 😉
Totally off-topic, sorry, but I’ve been trying to get into the archives after signing up through Patreon, and I’m getting a message saying my account is expired… which is odd since I did it today. Sorry for posting it here, but the email form page wasn’t working! I look forward to new Melonpool this year. 🙂

Beautiful. Thanks for doing this.
The only one I haven’t recognized yet is the guy with the fishbowl. Enlightenment, please?
That’s George Gaynes — the Commandant from Police Academy and Henry from “Punky Brewster.”
Oh no! I hope Ralph is wrong…
This was awesome by the way, 2016 was not good to humankind (or alien kind apparently :P)

Somebody could give a list of all the characters? Not everyone lives in the US, you know, (like yours truly)

(Let me know if I misidentified anyone.)
Perfect!
Yay color!
