Gilligan Tiberius Zinobop is the son of Old Ralphie and Roberta II from the original universe. A unique Melotian/Zinoboppian hybrid, he seems to take after his uncle Ralph in temperament. His current whereabouts (and whenabouts) are unknown.
Mayberry Melonpool is the television-addicted, somewhat clumsy, not-all-that-intelligent Captain of the "Steel Duck." Oh yeah, and he's obsessed with getting a date. In short, he doesn't have a lot going for him.
Old Ralphie is the only survivor from the original Melonpool universe that we've encountered so far. He's essentially the product of Ralphie being caught in a 30-year time loop. He's currently searching through time and space for his lost wife and son.
Ralphie Zinobop is an "evil" clone of Ralph Zinobop. Since Ralph was already evil, Ralphie popped out warm, caring and generally the nicest guy you’ll ever meet — essentially, he’s everything that the original Ralph is not. In addition to his personality, Ralphie is left-handed (Ralph is a “righty”), his DNA winds the opposite direction and his fingerprints are reversed.
Roberta II is the alternate version of the Old School Roberta. She was created after Ralphie got stuck in a 30-year time loop, turning him in Old Ralphie. Once that timeline was restored, Roberta II and Old Ralphie traveled to 2187, got married and had a child, Gil. Eventually, they desttoyed the original universe and became both time and universe refugees, assuming she even still exists.
Sam T. Dogg is completely out of his element. He’s super intelligent, a highly-skilled pilot and has the most common sense of anyone aboard the "Steel Duck." Also, no one takes him seriously because he’s a dog.
I remember this! You briefly replaced most or all of the archive with this storyline, and then when the storyline ended with the events being expunged from the timeline (I hate Temporal Parodoxes), you expunged those comics from the website too! It was a neat little gimmick.
That was an April Fools comic, if I recall correctly, that was… 2005…
I KNEW IT! I knew that last time travel storyline had something to do with this story. If this is what happen to old Ralphie, then what became of his family ?
You know, I must say that I am honestly surprised that you are doing this story.
I mean, I know that you have a lot of your readers who are very excited at any hint of a character or event from the old continuity, but I really felt like this whole reboot was designed to start a series that new readers could read without the burden of years of backstory.
Bringing this in is directly calling all of that into the foreground, an honestly I did not think you would want to do that.
@kiruppert
I don’t recall anything with the archive disappearing like that. I just remember they smashed the time machines, and then we started a new storyline where Mayberry was all alone on some rock. It was a slightly revised format. The comic didn’t go on too much longer after that, though. Updates were sparse and I didn’t have anything like Comic Rocket to make it easy to follow sparse updates.
I always wondered what happened to Mayberry after he encountered that dragonlike creature. Looks like we’re going to finally find out *crosses fingers*

Troop you magnificent bastard!
Careful, OR – you’ll be doing a number on the fourth wall, next!

LOL
Huh. When I posted on yesterday’s comic about mixing with the old continuity, I was at least half-joking.

I do have a plan — and it’s not quite what you think it is. 😉 I’m very excited about how this plays out.

Wait, I was right?!
