Old Ralphie is the only survivor from the original Melonpool universe that we've encountered so far. He's essentially the product of Ralphie being caught in a 30-year time loop. He's currently searching through time and space for his lost wife and son.
Yessss, Old Ralphie. Give in to your excuses. Let the justifications flow through you. Use your rationalizing feelings! Only then will your journey to the Villain Side be complete…
In the original timeline, Mayberry and Ralphie (and Old Ralph) did this all the time. We’re just seeing the other side of it. Every time they encountered an alternate timeline that was caused by a paradox, they fixed it, but what happened to the versions of themselves who got rewritten? I wanted to write a time travel story from the “other” side of things.
@ShadeTail Cool! I was worried. That was my only reservation about putting Old Ralphie into the mix again — that people thought I was going back to the original continuity.

Fascinating twist. We start a new story, only to destroy it all and return to the old continuity after just a few months. 😀
Except, that’s not what’s happening. I’m not backpedaling! Old Ralphie is one part Spock Prime and one part Walter White in this continuity.
I have to say I never expected this from Old Ralphie. I cannot wait to see his reaction to when this new version of Ralph married Roberta.

I was being facetious, BTW. 😉
