Ralph Zinobop is the inventor of the "Steel Duck." He is eager to enter the next phase of his plan: to make money off his inventions to regain his rightful place as ruler of the Planet Zinobop — a planet that he was exiled from by his paranoid father several years ago. His other hobbies include wild get-get-rich schemes and drinking copious amounts of coffee. He also has a terrible temper.
Ralphie Zinobop is an "evil" clone of Ralph Zinobop. Since Ralph was already evil, Ralphie popped out warm, caring and generally the nicest guy you’ll ever meet — essentially, he’s everything that the original Ralph is not. In addition to his personality, Ralphie is left-handed (Ralph is a “righty”), his DNA winds the opposite direction and his fingerprints are reversed.
Roberta Smeffinfeffer is level-headed, if not a little bit insecure. She has the tendency to follow her heart a little too much. Case in point: she's also Ralph (and Ralphie's) ex-wife. She has a background in space biology and studies medicine for awhile. She currently serves as doctor aboard the "Steel Duck."
Sam T. Dogg is completely out of his element. He’s super intelligent, a highly-skilled pilot and has the most common sense of anyone aboard the "Steel Duck." Also, no one takes him seriously because he’s a dog.
I don;t see any way to make them all in color. As it is, the Sundays take about three times as long as the dailies. I did consider changing the format to three double-size color updates a week instead of the current 6 BW and one color Sunday set up when I rebooted the strip, but from a storytelling and gag layout point of view, it didn’t work as well.
Stalin used to watch lots of John Wayne (a fellow national-socialist btw). Stalin saw himself as the man who stepped in to correct Russia from the chaos of the Lenin-Trotsky revolution, and then from the German invasion. Just like John Wayne’s lawmen laid down the law in the Old West!
Later, Wayne made it known that he opposed Communism and Stalinism in particular. Ol’ Koba the Dread – possibly in part due to a broken heart – ordered a hit on the Duke. But Stalin croaked first.
That’s not exactly what i was saying — it was more the idea that the way someone views themselves clouds the way they remember it That is — if you’re a guilty person, you remember all the bad stuff you did. If you’re an arrogant prick, you remember yourself as doing no wrong.
i always love your color strips! theyre fantastic! have you ever thought about making them all in color?
Ralph… “Innocent”? 😮
Interesting contrast to the last time this story was told…

It’s interesting how the other clone appears in each of Ralph/ie’s flashbacks 😉
I’ve always theorized that when he looked back on his life, even Hitler saw himself as Charlie Chaplin.
It’s the complete opposite of what we’ve been told. I wonder why…
In this case the expression “looking at both sides of the same coin” fits perfectly.
“Truth is a three-edged sword. Your truth, my truth, and the truth.”
Troop: try Josef Stalin.
