Ralph Zinobop is the inventor of the "Steel Duck." He is eager to enter the next phase of his plan: to make money off his inventions to regain his rightful place as ruler of the Planet Zinobop — a planet that he was exiled from by his paranoid father several years ago. His other hobbies include wild get-get-rich schemes and drinking copious amounts of coffee. He also has a terrible temper.
A giant snail gangster has a price on both Mayberry (who he thinks is named "Mulberry Melonhead") and Ralph. His base of operations is on Mollusca 7, a wretched hive of scum and villainy. No relation to Jabba the Hutt.
Oh! I never got into Dr. Who. After what happened with Star Trek and Star Wars, I try to limit the things I get obsessed with. I totally forgot about him being called a Time Lord. I’m trying not to do any direct parodies this time around (that’s more Zortic’s territory). This is sort of based on Jabba’s palace, though.
Well Doctor Who certainly is worth getting obsessed about, even if just the ones made this century. And to be honest, it remains a lot better than nearly all of Star Trek after TNG. (Not like that’s hard, but, still.)
Believe me, If I started watching Dr. Who, I’d be doing nothing but references to the show. Remember what happened when the “Gilligan’s Island” DVDs came out?
Deja vu anyone for today’s strip ? 🙂
How so?
No deja vu here. Love the as-was comment though!
I can’t wait for a joke about Slime Lord technology and how their shells are bigger on the inside.
@Marcus It looks like an homage to Jabba’s palace, but that’s not Deja Vu.
