Mayberry Melonpool is the television-addicted, somewhat clumsy, not-all-that-intelligent Captain of the "Steel Duck." Oh yeah, and he's obsessed with getting a date. In short, he doesn't have a lot going for him.
Old Ralphie is the only survivor from the original Melonpool universe that we've encountered so far. He's essentially the product of Ralphie being caught in a 30-year time loop. He's currently searching through time and space for his lost wife and son.
Sam T. Dogg is completely out of his element. He’s super intelligent, a highly-skilled pilot and has the most common sense of anyone aboard the "Steel Duck." Also, no one takes him seriously because he’s a dog.
At a guess, I’m going to say that Ralph got Duplomaticked in the last continuity, creating a good version named Ralphie. Ralphie then had a long and happy life, pulling kittens from burning buildings and being loved by all he met, and eventually he got a time machine and used it to occasionally go to the past. He just tried to do it again, but wound up in the new continuity. So now everyone is confused.
So Old Ralphie is like Old Spock? I can dig it.
Welcome back, Old Ralphie. Maybe Young Ralphie is lurking around one of the interstices of these colliding probabilities.
Old Ralphie would have a lot easier time if he would bother looking at the skyscraper ad on the page. “All New universe” explains it pretty well, IMO.
You can count me in the confused wagon, Mayberry. .
You and me three Atristain… Damn You Troop!!
